How to choose the right collar

Types of fasteners:

Plastic buckle:

One of the most popular types of fasteners.

Due to the size of the buckle we recommend 2 cm width collars for very small dogs

For small dogs: 2 cm or 2.5 cm

For medium: 2.5 cm or 3 cm

For large dogs: 3 cm, 4 cm, 5 cm

DOUBLE LOCK

Collar with plastic buckle  with additional protection in the form of two d-rings fastened with a snap hook.

Simply attach your leash to both Stainless Steel D-Rings for extra security and peace of mind.

FEATURES:
- Two D-Rings to attach leash to
- The two double D-Rings take the pressure away from the easy access buckle

Limited-Slip Collar

This type of collar is an easily adjustable collar with a clamp. Perfect for quickly slipping over the dog’s head. The leash is clipped to rings in the clamp, so that when your dog pulls, the collar tightens up, but only to the previously set circumference.

When the dog runs loose, the collar easily slips over the dog’s neck without choking the dog. Ideal for dogs which tend to slip out of the collar and escape.

A properly adjusted collar tightens to the width of the dog's neck.

How to choose the right size?

EXAMPLE: If a dog’s neck circumference is 37 cm, you should select the  30-40 cm collar. The collar will be adjusted within the range 30-40 cm on the damped collar, and the  additional 10 cm is intended for the clamp. As a result, the collar has a length of 35-50 cm with the clamp, depending on its adjustment.

If your dog’s neck is 30 cm circumference and you choose a limited-slip collar, please order a 20-30 cm collar. We do not recommend limited-slip collars for dogs with a smaller circumference.

Martingale

(Also known as a half check collar.)

The mechanism is similar to the one used in the limited-slip collar above.

The martingale collar is comprised of two loops; the larger of which slips over the dog's neck and the smaller loop is then attached to a leash. When the dog starts to pull, the large loop constricts.

Half-Check Collar

The half-check collar is a soft choke collar, similar to the Martingale. However the clamp in this model is made out of metal chain instead of patterned webbing. To ensure safety, the entire chain is welded and then chromed.
